Spring Fest Brings Opportunities and Fun to Zanesville Campuses
ZANESVILLE, OH – The campus center was alive with the spirit of spring today as Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College joined forces to host their annual Spring Fest.
This much-anticipated event brought together students, staff, and faculty from both colleges for a day of joy and community bonding with free food, fun games, and much more.
“Seeing the students connect and enjoy the time outside of the classroom together. I know that data suggests that students who can engage with their campus community outside of the classroom helps them to persist and to graduate. I like seeing them enjoying the day and connecting with each other and feeling a sense of belonging on campus,” Zane State Faculty Jennifer King said.
Spring Fest was more than just a day of fun. Students also had the opportunity to explore internships, job openings, student clubs, and academic resources.
“The students also have a chance to explore different internships and different job opportunities. They have free lunch so that’s awesome, Raising Canes. They have free ice cream outside. Then they’ll have different OU resources and Zane State resources,” OUZ Career Development Coordinator Summer Jacobs said.
