Stantec Meets with County Commissioners

A multi-national consulting firm met with the Muskingum County Commissioners this morning.

Three representatives from Stantec, a consulting firm that specializes in professional consulting in planning, engineering and architectural projects, met with the commissioners to let them know what Stantec is and how they can help improve the city of Zanesville.

"We’re reaching out to potential clients to tell them about the services we offer, and I’m in the Logan, OH office and we have office’s in Columbus and throughout the state and we’re just spreading the word about Stantec and the type of services we offer."

Senior Project Manager, Michael Betts, says every community needs good, sound infrastructure for development and economic stability, but there are plenty of steps to take before getting started.

"Identify typical projects or projects that they need to complete in response to environmental compliance, that’s the typical driver for the projects that we undertake. And, you know, identify the project, develop the project, figure out how to fund the project, keep the project affordable for the residents and then take it on to the design and permitting stage."

The commissioners were pleased to have the representatives of Stantec introduce themselves, no future project plans were made during the meeting.
