ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Rain or shine, the Stars and Stripes celebration on the river will host its 20th Annual 4th of July event this weekend.

Each year on the 3rd and 4th of July the Zanesville Jaycees host its Annual Independence Day celebration at Zane’s Landing Park. Board Member, Tye Berkfield said they want residents to know this is a weekend long celebration and they welcome everyone out for some fun in the sun.

"All of our food vendors down there are non-profit. We got a handful of food vendors including: Charity Newsies, Eagle Riders, Girl Scouts, some of the school boosters. We also will have carnival rides, the standard carnival rides and games. They’ll also be selling food on that end as well" said Berkfield.

Berkfield said there will be lives bands performing both Sunday and Monday along with the Jaycees Beer Trailer and more.

"Sometimes there’s not a whole lot to do around here and we’ve done this event for probably over 20 years. I’ve been a part of the Zanesville Jaycees for about 10 so I’ve been involved with it for the last 10. We do other things throughout the year to try to bring people downtown and give them something to do," said Berkfield.
