Stars and Stripes on the River This Weekend

Zanesville, Ohio- After City Council on Monday, Mayor Jeff Tilton was happy to announce that the annual Stars and Stripes on the River firework display will take place again this year on Sunday and Monday.

Mayor Tilton wanted inform the people of the event, and that there will be temporary shutdown of the Y-Bridge during fireworks display around 9:45 p.m. on Monday.

Set up for the display will begin Sunday afternoon. On the Fourth of July, Tilton said that the Y-Bridge will be open for use before and after the display, but will be closed to one lane. During the fireworks display, the Y-Bridge will be completely shut down until the display has ended.

The Y-Bridge will return to normal operations after the display is over and everything is cleaned up.

Mayor Tilton hopes that everyone comes out to enjoy a great display on our day of independence.
