State Route 60 South Reopens Wednesday

After numerous delays, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that state route 60 south will soon re-open to traffic.

Public Information Officer Erika Pfeifer says the roadway just south of Duncan Falls will reopen by 5 p.m. Wednesday,

Iniitially, ODOT  had hoped to have the road reopened by the end of September.

The contractor,  Shelly and Sands,  started receiving a $3,500  fine for every day the road went unopened after September 22nd.

Crews began the rock wall project back in mid-July.
