Student Leadership Awards Ceremony

 This evening The Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center had the opportunity to recognize 51 outstanding students and teachers from our five county area.

The 24th Annual Student Leadership Recognition Ceremony hosts three distinct awards- The Susan Mahoney Writing Award, The Franklin B. Walter Award, and lastly outstanding seniors and honored teachers

Superintendent, David Branch said, "We honored teachers that have the touched the lives of children. The students that were here this evening talked about their teachers. It was a humbling experience and a powerful moment. "

Guests of the ceremony were graced with listening to the writings of five students awarded the Susan Mahoney Award as well as hear the remarkable achievements of the students nominated for the Franklin B Walter award. The winner from Perry County, Autumn King has plans to continue her well rounded accomplishments after high school.

"I am going to go to Miami University to study Psychology and Spanish and Business. I’m either going to be a counselor or work in human resources I also want to be a pastor, " said King.
