Students Celebrate Another Year
Students around the area celebrate the last few days of the school year.
Wednesday at Nashport Elementary students took part in 22 activities that included tug of war, races and water fights.
"Field day’s a good way to end the school year because everyone gets together to have fun. It’s a sign school days are over with summer time approaching," said Physical Education Teacher Lonnie Jarrett.
With students and teachers counting the hours till summer freedom some have big plans for their time off.
"Pretty much riding my horses because we went to a new barn and they have a bunch of trails that we’re going to try out," said Nashport student Paige Mox.
"Swimming," added Student Alysa Edwards-Fick. "Spend time with my friends."
For motorists it means to watch out for kids as they’ll be spending more time playing outdoors during the day.
