Summer Time Grilling Tips
While Friday was a hot day across southeast Ohio, It wasn’t the only thing heating up.
Held at South Zanesville’s Riesbeck’s Pick ‘n Save, Zandex Health Care Corporate Chef Bill Bird took his master chef skills to the grill cooking up tender and juicy chicken, beef, pork, and veggies for shoppers to sample using his very own special seasoning. He also gave shoppers tips for when it comes to throwing your favorite meats and veggies on the grill.
"You want to rub, season, get your meat ready, get vegetables ready, corn ready, and I always like to have half my grill on, half the grill hot and half the grill cold or at a lower temperature so you can sear, get your flavor going, then move it over and slow down the cooking time on it," said Bird.
Chef Bill used a Holland grill for Friday afternoon’s cooking demonstrations. Hillsway Ag n Turf Co-owner Stephanie Hill, says what is so unique about the grill is that it’s flameless.
"You basically put your meat on, you walk away, you cook by time of put a thermometer in and cook by temperature, and it will let you know when your meat’s done, and then you don’t have to worry about flames coming up and burning your meat," said Hill.
The store is the only Holland grill dealer in Muskingum County.
