Tearing Down Zanesville High School

Teachers, alumni, and current students watched their school be knocked down.

Construction workers began tearing down the old Zanesville High School building Monday morning. Many people gathered to watch part of the buildint come down.

"That’s part of the auditorium. There used to be giant walkways that ran above the seats near the auditorium ceiling and they put lights and stuff up there. It was a pretty cool place. I went up now and then during lunch to hang out," Damon Devoll said.

Devoll is going to be a senior and he said he’s sad to see the old building go but he’s excited about the future.

"A lot of good memories and a lot of good times. It’ll be nice to be in some AC," Devoll said.

The new high school is fully equipped with air conditioning.
