The 2016 ‘Stars and Stripes” Festival On the River

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Annual ‘Stars and Stripes’ on the River festival kicked off Sunday.
This two-day event takes place at Zane’s Landing Park by the river to celebrate Independence Day. Zanesville Jaycees, Media Chair Chad Hanson said if you come out you can expect to enjoy some great food, live music and activities for the entire family.
"It’s a community event, it’s family friendly as you said. You got your food, your live entertainment, you have the community. That’s the biggest thing, bringing everything together to celebrate this great nation of the United States," said Hanson.

We do scholarships we’re actually going to do our scholarship announcement tomorrow around 2:30 p.m," said Hanson. "This year we’re actually going to hand out four and there going to be $1000 scholarship each."
