The Boondocks Still Contender for Food Network Show

A Morgan County restaurant is still in the running for the Food Network’s 2011 season of "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives."

The show visited 127 restaurants east of the Mississippi River last year, and The Boondocks is one of the top 50 contenders.

The host, Guy Fieri, taped segments with seven restaurants across Ohio, and The Boondocks is the only restaurant in the state left standing.

Owner, Bobby Burdette, says it’s an honor and he hopes to make the final cut.

Burdette and his wife, Maria, will find that decision out later this summer. If picked, the episode will air sometime during January 2011.
