The Design Studio Hosts a Hair-A-Thon Fundrasier

The Design Studio is hosting a $10 Hair-A-Thon fundraiser to benefit the animals at the local dog pound.

It’s called ‘Cuts for Paws,’ the Design Studio provided haircuts for adults and children for a small donation of just $10. The proceeds from the event go toward the Muskingum Dog Rescue fund to provide financial assistance for the dogs at Muskingum County Dog Pound.

"This will pay for any medical need that the dog has, vet visits rescue expenses, such as pull fees from the dog pound, gas money for the transporters. Heart worm tests, rabies shots. Anything that they will need to go to the rescues," said Jenny Durant, Muskingum County Dog Pound Volunteer.

Durant said it feels great to see members of the community join together for a good cause.

"I can stand here today and look down the road and see and see everything we can do with all of these people behind us. In such a strong animal committed community," said Durant.

Durant said the next fundraiser will be on April 7th to help raise money for the construction of the new dog pound.
