ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The former Perry Multi-County Juvenile Facility (PMCJF) will now be the home for two Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center (MVESC) programs.

The MVESC reached a three-year agreement with the Perry County Board of Commissioners to use the property at 1625 Commerce Drive in New Lexington.

The PMCJF will be the home for the Heart to Heart program and the New Path program. Heart to Heart serves students with moderate-to-severe cognitive needs with behavioral challenges that have impacted their education. New Path a comprehensive wraparound approach for students, including behavioral health services, academic support, compliance guidance and coordinated care.

MVESC Superintendent Monte Bainter said the partnership with the Perry County Commissioners is an important part of expanding the services and accessibility of their programs.
