The Friends of Library host annual Buck-A-Bag book sale

ZANESVILE, Ohio- There was a large turn out for the Friends of Library annual Buck-A-Bag book sale Saturday morning.
The sale took place in the lower level of John McIntire Library. People could choose from hundreds of gently used books, CDS, audio books, and movies during the sale.
“We keep the collection current,”John McItire Library, Assistant Director, Blair Tom said. “We listen to the community. What isn’t being used any longer we pull so we can add new to our shelves in the library. We always have at least one buck-a bag book sale and some times we’re able to have two. It’s a great opportunity that we like to offer community members.”
The Friends of the Library sold bags for $1. The shoppers could fill their bags with as many goodies as they pleased. Tom said the book sale averages between 200 to 300 shoppers.
“We’ll see a lot of people. It’s really great to see families sorting through books and finding their treasures together,” Tom said.
Tom said all of the proceeds that are generated from the book sale are then donated back to library, to support the free library programs, resources, and events that are held in at the public libraries in Muskingum County.
