ZANESVILLE, OH – Some other fun and exciting things will be happening at Zanes Landing Park during the First Friday Artwalk.

The Lorena Sternwheeler is paddling along the Muskingum River in its 75th season.

Captain of the Lorena, Bill Page, says they’re excited to be getting the season underway.

“75 years is a tremendous lifetime for a paddle rail boat.” Page said. “But she’s been well taken care of and well cared for and still in very good shape and ready to go. People enjoy it, and love it because they are so fortunate to have it.”

Captain Page says this area is very blessed to be able to take these rides down the river, because you can’t have this experience just anywhere.

He also says they offer public rides as well as chartered rides for special occasions.

“If you look at the online website, visitzanesville.com, it gives you a schedule of the boat activities, the public rides, and so forth.” Page said. “And you can charter rides, private rides, birthday parties, anniversaries, anything you can think of just to have a party, call the Welcome Center, charter it and come on.”
