The Nutcracker brings holiday magic to the Secrest Auditorium

ZANESVILLE, OH- A holiday classic that many know well opened today on the Secrest Auditorium stage.
The Nutcracker, which features more than 200 local dancers, along with professional guest artists is a family-friendly show that will enchant all those who attend.
“So, we actually have four shows, one right now at 2 p.m. we have a show at 6 p.m. and then 2 p.m. tomorrow and 6 p.m., the Nutcracker has been going on in our community for over 20 years and I’ve grown up doing it, a lot of my fellow co-workers have grown up doing it, so we love getting to share that tradition with our students,” says Morgan Lothes, the Artistic Director for The Nutcracker.
The Nutcracker follows a young girl named Clara who goes on a magical journey with her Nutcracker Doll turned prince.
“I love getting to see how much the students grow every year, from their technique, but also their friendships, I met my best friends doing this, and I get to see other kids make those friendships as they grow up and how much they just love the show and getting to share that with our community,” says Lothes.
