The Ohio Show

Artists from all over the state are gathering to display their work at a local art museum.

The Zanesville Museum of Art is hosting it’s 66th Annual Ohio Show. The exhibition opened Saturday afternoon displaying 77 pieces from 59 artists statewide.

"It’s incredible the local artists and the ones from the state, just the range of talent is just amazing, absolutely amazing," said Director of the Zanesville Art Museum, Susan Talbot-Stanaway.

Among the local artists, was Mark Wetzel of Rendville, who has three pieces in the show. Stanaway says there is something special about Wetzel’s work.

"He does pottery and Mark is visually impaired a great deal but he still does his own pottery, he fires it, he teaches pottery," she said.

Stanaway says she encourages the public to see the work for themselves. The show will continue through August 30th.
