The Pieceable Quilters Call Quilt Expo a Success

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Pieceable Quilters wrapped up their two day quilt show and expo Sunday.
Nearly 600 people filled the halls of the Veterans Complex at the Muskingum County Fairground to view the large variety of quilts made by the members of the Pieceable Quilters. Co-Chair, Vicki Kinnan said they have gone beyond their expectation of their set goal for the weekend.
"It’s just, it means a lot. It really is awesome that you guys are helping and the community helps. It helps to promote quilting and the learning of it," said Kinnan. "We want to learn, teach and promote quilting to the next generation and this show is really helping up to do that."
First Place Winner and Best of Show, Kay Radabaugh said she created a Judy Niemeyer Mariner’s Compass Quilt on a Martelli table. Radabaugh described her feeling to winning.
"I guess kind of surprised, I was kind of surprised," said Radabaugh "It was a lot of work."
Kinnan said proceeds from the event will go towards a 500 dollar scholarship that will be presented to a local student studying textile or fashion.
