The Reds Caravan Stops in Zanesville

The Cincinnati Reds Caravan makes a stop at the Whiz Media Group on Thursday. It consists of four separate tours traveling over 3,300 miles to five different states in four days.
“It’s very important to us that our players know that our fans are important and our players reach out to them on our behalf. We have a wonderful group of players that are involved in our Community Fund and our Hall of Fame, and we are very, very fan oriented in that way. We like to bring our fans as close to the players as we can, and this is a perfect way to do it,”
said Rob Butcher.
Included in the stop here at our studios were Reds COO Phil Castellini, President of Operations Walt Jockety , Broadcasters Thom Brennaman and Jim Day, Reliever JJ Hoover, former Red Corky Miller, and Minor League pitcher, Cody Reed who said the Caravan is really all for the kids.
“The last one that we went to there were a bunch of kids and when I was a kid I thought it would be awesome to have some professional guys come out here and talk to us and sign the back of my shirt, or my cap or anything like that. It’s exciting to see the excitement on their faces when you show up and their eyes get big and they want to see you. Half of them don’t even know my name but, want to be around me and stuff like that is a good feeling,” said Cody Reed.
The Reds Caravan still has 6 more stops in the next 3 days. Also remember there are only 66 days until the Reds Opening Day.
