A Star Spangled Celebration Returns
Duncan Falls, OH- The Duncan Falls Philo Business Association is hosting their fourth annual Star Spangled Celebration at Sam Hatfield Stadium in Duncan Falls.
It starts this Friday at 5 p.m. with food trucks, a corn hole tournament, a pedal tractor pull and carnival games. All of these events wrap up a 9 p.m. with the community settling in for the fireworks show.
“We just love to see all the people that are here and everybody enjoying everything and when, when we shut everything down at 9 and everybody kind of settles into their spot. Like just to see the amount of people that come out for this, it’s really awesome,” said Laken Ault president of the Duncan Falls Philo Business Association.
“Not even the people that are here at the event but what goes on in their homes. Like we, this is a pretty close community. There’s not a bad spot in Duncan Falls when you see these fire works,” said Katie Imlay, who serves as the associations secretary.
Ault and Imlay took the time to share their appreciation and stress the important of local community support for events like this.
“We just want to thank all the support. All of our sponsors, we’ve had great sponsors. Any thing that we have reached out to people for, they have so willingly given,” Imlay siad.
“Really we can’t put this together without the support of our community and member of the association. So we just really appreciate them,” Ault said.
“The people in the business association are top notch. Support local people. If it’s not this community, support your local community. That’s how this is brought to everyone,” Imlay added.
Those interested in attending the Star Spangled Celebration should bring a blanket or chairs for seating along with cash for the food trucks and games. More information can be found on their Facebook page.
