This Weeks Animal Shelter Society Pet of The Week is Stream
ZANESVILLE, OH – A beautiful and energetic pup named Stream has trickled her way into the Animal Shelter Society’s Pet of The Week spotlight.
Stream is a 11-month-old Catahoula mix who is searching for her forever home. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she loves walks, playtime, and being beside human or other canine friends.
“She loves folks. She doesn’t mind baths. She’s going to get used to a swimming pool here in the very near future. She does like water. She’s a really good dog. We would pick a family for her that’s going to be a little active. They can go out, make sure she gets some walks in. She loves walking on her leash, and she doesn’t tug. She’s just a great disposition of an animal,” Animal Shelter Society Executive Director, April Gibson said.
The Animal Shelter Society’s “Yappy Hour” fundraiser event, held last week, turned out to be a barking success. Nearly $50,000 was raised to support the animal shelter as they continue to care for local animals in need.
“The room was filled with almost 200 people and supporters who believe in our mission statement which is really important. It was truly amazing. When you can pull almost $50,000 in a fundraiser for something like that. We were just overwhelmed and so very thankful,” Gibson said.
