Thomas Norris

Thomas D. “Tom” Norris 79 of Newark passed away Friday October 30, 2026 at his residence. He was born March 24, 1947 in Zanesville, a son of the late Basil Jr. and Dorothy Barker Norris. Tom protected our freedoms while serving in the United States Army and was retired from Owens Corning. He enjoyed spending time in his shop restoring and tinkering with his John Deere tractors.
Tom never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. Tom loved his family and had several very close friends whose friendship was valued very much. He is survived by his wife Vickie Norris; two daughters Evelyn (Russell) Price and Sherrie (Christopher) Perkins; four grandchildren Jenna, Tarryn, Luke and Emilie; three brothers Charles, Ernie and Bill Norris; four sisters Linda Fox, Sharon Melton, Melody Day, Molly Norris and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2026 from Noon until time of service at 1pm in the Snouffer Chapel with Forrest Pierce officiating. Burial with Military Honors by VFW Post 1058 will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
