Three Arrested in Newark Shooting

Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Newark.

Newark police say 18- year-old Dacian Cabiness, 19-year-old Dequan Harrison, both of Newark and 34-year-old Willie Desmond Qirat of Canal Winchester were taken into custody Friday at a home in Columbus.
 

Detectives also recovered several firearms believed to be involved in the shooting that injured 28-year-old Brandon Elliot.
 

Police say they responded to 231 Hoover Street  in Newark around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a shooting.

Officers found Elliot with a single gunshot wound to the back. He was taken to OSU Medical Center .
 

All three suspects have been charged with aggravated robbery.
