Tornadoes Confirmed in Muskingum Co. as Flooding Continues

Muskingum Co. – The National Weather Service has made a determination on possible tornadoes produced by storms Tuesday night.
Muskingum County Emergency Management Director Jeff Jadwin said the National Weather Service determined that storm damage in Muskingum County was caused by tornadoes.
Jadwin said the NWS said that a tornado first hit Poplar Forks as an EF 0 tornado, then bounced and hit Fairview Road and then bounced and hit the Adamsville Road area. He said they determined when it struck Fairview, Adamsville Road, French Road and Knipe it was an EF-1 tornado.
The tornado that hit Coon Ridge in Chandlersville was determined to be an EF 1 tornado, possibly an EF-2. He said the NWS is still investigation and going through drone footage.
The EMA will be out again Thursday doing damage assessment from the storms and looking at flooding.
The EMA reports the following roads are known to be covered due to high water.
