Toys R Us Closes Zanesville Store

The Colony Square Mall in Zanesville Tuesday confirmed that the Toys R Us store has decided to close.  Specialty Leasing/Marketing Representative Kevin Pinson issued a statement regarding the closing of the toy store:  “we are disappointed that Toys R Us has decided to close.  However, over the past year Colony Square Mall has made great strides in adding new tenants that our customers are truly enjoying.  This change offers another opportunity to bring new, exciting retail partners to the Mall and our loyal customers.”  Toys R Us is closing 182 stores across the United States as part of a downsizing measure necessary to save the troubled toy chain, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in September.
