Travel Safe this Holiday Season

A lot of people will be traveling over the next few days to spend the holidays with loved ones.

The state highway patrol says it will also be on the road to make sure everyone makes it to their destination safety.

"We take safety seriously and we’re dedicated to saving lives. We are going to do that through high visibility, strict enforcement, and through education," Lt. Chad Neal said.

Lt. Neal from the Zanesville Post of the Patrol also says to help enforce the traffic laws there will be at least an additional two to three patrol cars out per shift this weekend.

"We ask everyone to pretty much do their part. If the motorists keep in mind the posted speed limits, drive defensively, try to avoid being distracted while driving, and simply also just wear your safely belts," Lt. Neal said.
