Treasures Hunters Roadshow Hits Welcome Center

If you’re strapped for cash and are looking to make a few extra bucks, look no further than the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center.

The Treasures Hunters Roadshow is going on which is part of the International Gold and Diamond Collectors Association. They buy scrap gold, diamonds, coins, silver, antiques and other collectible items. But why take your item there versus other buyers is a question one might ask.

"Do your research. The internet is a wonderful place to do that. Shop everybody else, come in here last and I guarantee you’ll be happy when you leave," said Jack Elkins with THR & Associates.

Elkins says some of the items they have bought in the past are quite unusual to say the least.

"We bought an electric chair, sounds kind of morbid, it was a standby electric chair for some prison. We bought Johnny Cash’s bed. We paid 30,000 dollars for Johnny Cash’s bed," said Elkins.

The show runs until Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Welcome Center and is free of charge to have your items looked at.
