Tri-Valley Remembers Coach Wright

Wright

Dresden, OH- Last month we announced the passing of Tri-Valley Head Football Coach Josh Wright.

Last week the Philo community gathered to remember the coach and Wednesday, Tri-Valley hosted a night in his honor.

The community gathered on the field of Jack Anderson Stadium to honor the impact Wright made on the team. Wright was set to be the head coach for the Scotties this fall, after spending last year as an assistant coach.

Speeches were given, candles were lighted and stories were told remembering his impact.

“He was the best individual you ever meet,” said Former Head Coach and current Tri-Valley High School Principal Cam West. “I mean, in terms of he’s a guy that you could call at any time of the night if you needed something. And he was I mean, even for me, he was at Philo for 14 years. And me and him kept that relationship. We talked a lot when he was at Philo and, fortunate enough to bring him back to try Valley. And like I said, it’s a, you know, it’s a void.”
