Tri-Valley, Sheridan Split Massive MVL Doubleheader
THORNVILLE, OH – A beautiful day for some baseball and softball between two of the top schools in the MVL.
Starting on the baseball diamond, number two-ranked Tri-Valley came away with the biggest win of the season, defeating previously unbeaten Sheridan, 12-3.
In fact, the Scotties were up 10-0 at one point in the game and were led by numerous bats on the team. Brady Kaufman had a four-hit game, Gavin Harrold gave three RBI, not to mention Ashton Sensibaugh and Kian Drummonds each with three-hit outings. Tri-Valley now takes the top spot in the “Big School” division in the MVL.
Over in softball, Sheridan pulled away from Tri-Valley for its eighth straight victory. Ohio University commit Cora Hall was dominant both on the mound and at the plate. As a pitcher she went the complete game, throwing over 100 pitches while striking out nine Tri-Valley batters. Oh, and by the way, she also clubbed two home runs as a batter, accounting for four of the five Generals runs in the game.
Just another day in the life of Cora Hall, as Sheridan improves to 12-3 on the season.
