Tri-Valley’s Winning Streak Extends to Five

DRESDEN, OH- The Tri-Valley Scotties came into Tuesday night off back to back shutout wins. The Philo Electrics looked to slow down the Scotties roll in a matchup out at Kenny Wolford Park.
Let’s pick this one up with no score in the bottom of the first inning. Vousden on the bump for the Electrics with a runner on third, that’s what we call a knee buckler. He gets Hansel Holmes looking at a breaking ball for strike three.
Very next batter was Bennet Baker and he rips a hard hit single right back up the middle. Ashton Sensibaugh scores on the play as Tri-Valley jumps off to an early 1-0 lead.
Baker was the starter for the Scotties as well, here he is in the second inning giving Howell the express as he blows a fastball right by Howell.
His fastball was Nolan Ryan esque with straight gas, same inning it’s Glaub taking strike three in the zone. Baker did have some command issues later in the start but went 3 and 2 thirds innings with no earned runs and struck out four batters.
Into the third inning, leadoff batter reached via the walk. Huffman drops down one of the most well placed bunts I’ve ever seen. That moves the runner into scoring position.
Now with runners on second and third Sensibaugh steps in and hits a ground ball to shortstop and gets thrown out at first. Better advances to third on the play and Brennen crossed the plate. It was all Scotties early, but the Electrics came back late tying the game at 5 in the fourth inning. However, the Scotties held on winning 6-5 and improve to 9-2 on the year.
