Trout Release Starts Friday in Ohio

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says more than 100-thousand rainbow trout are expected to be released this spring. The state says 64 lakes and ponds will get the fish starting Friday. In our area these are the lakes that will get the trout…Blue Rock Lake in Muskingum County…New Lexington Reservoir 1-A in Perry County and Wolf Run Lake in Noble County. Rainbow trout are raised at Ohio’s state fish hatcheries and measure 10-to-13 inches before they are released. The daily catch limit for inland lakes is five trout.
