Truck into Creek

Rain maybe to blame for a roll-over accident that left one man’s truck in a creek.

David Thomas was driving Northbound near 1345 Lent Road in Springfield Township around 6:45p.m. when he lost control of his Ford F-150.

"Drove off the right side of the road, over corrected and lost control, slid off of the left side of the road, struck a tree and over rolled into a creek," Trooper Jeff Fowler, State Highway patrol.

Thomas’ young son was in the vehicle with him and Trooper Fowler says he was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Thomas suffered no injuries. Fowler notes these accidents often happen when it is raining and road conditions are dangerous.

"Quite often, almost everyday. They are lucky, from what I can tell they were both strapped in, seat belted,’ said Fowler.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
