Truck in the Muskingum River

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A truck was found, turned over, in a river earlier on December 22nd.

The truck was found, on its side, in the Muskingum River next to Old River Road. Harrison Township Fire Department Captain Chase Temple said the vehicle was unoccupied when the fire department and Muskingum County Sheriff’s office arrived. Temple said they are still trying to determine what happened.

“They came off the road on back a couple hundred feet and kind of went over into the river. So, at this time we don’t know what would have caused it,” said Temple.

That part of Old River road was closed while the tow truck removed the truck from the river.
