Two Charged in Morgan County Murder
Two people have been indicted for the 2008 murder of a McConnelsville man.
The Morgan County Grand Jury returned indictments against 25-year-old Christopher Border and 20-year-old Christopher Clark for the murder of Rodney Spencer on September 24, 2008.
Spencer was found unresponsive in his Plum Street home after it was set on fire the night of the 24th. Both Border and Clark are charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated arson and three counts of aggravated murder. They could face life in prison without the possibility of parole for the charges.
Both men appeared in Morgan County Common Pleas Court today and pled not-guilty. Judge Dan Favreau set their bond at $1 million each.
Clark made headlines last October when he escaped from the Morgan County Jail where he was being held on a theft charge. He was later captured in Athens County.
