Two Dead in Granville Shooting

Sheriff’s Deputies say two people are dead Saturday after a Licking County woman shoots and kills her son, and then turns the gun on herself. 
 Deputies say it happened at a home on Outville Road in Granville sometime between 4:30 Saturday morning and 1:00 in the afternoon.

Deputies arrived at the home shortly after 1 and found 43-year-old Joyce Straight and her 8-year-old son Jeremy Straight shot to death.

Initial reports indicate Straight may have had ongoing mental health issues.

No other information will be released until autopsies are performed on Monday.
