Two in Serious Condition After Hebron Crash

Two men remain in serious condition Tuesday, after police say a fleeing driver caused a crash in Hebron.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday. According to the Hebron Police Department, 51-year-old Randy Ratliff of Newark was pulled over by a Hebron police officer for not having working taillights on his pick-up truck.

Ratliff and two passengers exited the truck and authorities believe the passengers tried to distract the officer. Authorities say Ratliff then got back in the truck and pulled away at a high-rate of speed, running a red light and hitting 48-year-old Jeffrey Robinson of Pataskala at the intersection of State Route 79 and Enterprise Drive.

Ratliff is currently in serious condition at OSU Medical Center. Robinson is at Grant Medical Center and is also in serious condition.

The Hebron Police Department is currently investigating and have not yet filed charges.
