Two local homes busted for drugs

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Two local homes were busted for drugs Wednesday night.
The two houses were 1031 Muskingum Avenue and 728 Indiana Street.
Sheriff Matt Lutz said the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office had teamed up with the Zanesville Police Department and had been working on several investigations.
“We were just able to come up with enough to get into this house and the house on Indiana,” said Lutz.
At the Muskingum Avenue location, three people were taken into custody; two male adults and one female adult. There were three people questioned at the house on Indiana; one of them was arrested on a warrant, and the other two were interviewed and released.
“So far at both locations we’ve found just about everything you can imagine,” said Lutz. “There’s been small amounts of marijuana, we found heroin, we found methamphetamine, we found cocaine, we found crack-cocaine and U.S. currency, we found some ammo [but] haven’t found any weapons yet, but we’re still looking.”
Lutz urged citizens to keep calling with tips and said the calls do not fall on deaf ears.
