U.S. Senatorial candidate Ted Strickland stops in Zanesville

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Former Ohio governor and democratic U.S. Senatorial candidate Ted Strickland makes a stop in Zanesville.

This is one of three stops for Strickland. His first stop was in Columbus to cast his ballot. Strickland arrived at the Zanesville democratic headquarters with pizza for his supports. Strickland shared a message for voters that are still on the fence.

“I’m going to spend the next several days just asking the people of Ohio to think carefully before the vote in this senate race,” Strickland said. “I’m on their side. Senator Portman is on the side of Wall street banks and the Washington insiders. And that’s the difference between the two of us.”

Strickland also took part in an informal question and answer session. After speaking to the group of more than 20 attendees. Strickland met with each supporter individually.

“I’m a guy who’s always fought for working people. I come from Appalachia. I know what it’s like actually work for a living,” Strickland said.

Strickland’s next stop is in Athens for a democratic dinner party.
