United Way of MPM Welcomes Tracey Ballas as New Executive Director

ZANESVILLE, OH – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties hosted an event for community members to meet their new Executive Director.

The event was held at the Downtown Exchange where Tracey Ballas was able to introduce herself to the people she’ll see everyday.

Ballas says she feels honored to have been named as the Executive Director.

“It means everything, I am so touched that people are showing up. It’s a homecoming for me!” Ballas continued. ”I was raised in Zanesville so it feels wonderful to meet the people who are here now, who I’m going to be working with whether they’re staff, board members, community partners, or donors. I am so excited to get to know all of them, listen to what they have to say, to learn what’s working and what ways we can collaborate even better together.”

Ballas says one of her goals is to visit all of the United Way’s community partners in person during her first 100 days.

“So that I can see up close and in person, all the beautiful work they’re doing day in and day out.” Ballas said. “But also to learn from them, some of the struggles and challenges we still have in front of us and figure out how to collaborate even better.”

Ballas will begin her new job as the Executive Director on July 1st.
