United Way of MPM Excited to Welcome New Executive Director
ZANESVILLE, OH – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties are eagerly awaiting their new executive director’s first day on the job.
Tracy Ballas will begin her new job as the executive director of the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties on July 1st.
Leah Vensil, Board President of the United Way of MPM said Ballas is already engaged and curious about what she can do for our area.
“She’s excited to kind of jump in and find out the different ways the United Way can impact the Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties,” Vensil said. “We’re really excited for her, she’s going to do really wonderful things and you know she has big shoes to fill because Meg [Deedrick] was so wonderful and wonderful to our community. But we really are excited for Tracy and all the wonderful things she’s going to bring.”
Vensil said that Ballas is an author who wrote a book on leadership, she has worked at the state level and has been closely working with the Alice, Asset limited income constrained employed, families in our area.
She says they are very fortunate to the Yunker group for finding the United Way of MPM the perfect candidate for the job.
“We’ve been really fortunate that [Ballas] has been so hands-on already and open to answering questions for us and asking a lot of questions,” Vensil said. “Her goal is to hit the ground running and so she’s been asking a lot of questions and we’ve been communicating back and forth. She’s been here, cause she lives in Columbus, so she’s been here in our community, several times just to start getting her feet wet and really get a feel of things.”
