United Way Superhero Fundraiser
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties plays a big part in providing resources that help to fill community needs.
United Way of MPM CEO Tracey Ballas announced an upcoming fundraiser that will gather local businesses for a night of trivia competition.
“We are so excited for the very first United Way of Muskingum Perry and Morgan Counties Community Trivia Night,” Ballas said. “It’s going to take place on January 23rd, which is this coming Thursday. It’ll be starting at 4:30 in the afternoon, there’s a table decorating contest and then the doors will open at 5 O’clock for registration and for people to have food and beverages and the trivia night will kick off at 6 O’clock.”
The event will take place at Bryan Place and feature a superhero theme. Every 6th trivia question will showcase an aspect of the United Way and reward the correct response with a special prize.
“So this is the first fundraiser we have done in a number of years that is a stand alone event,” Ballas said. “The other fundraising that we do is through our workplace campaigns that we do with our corporate sponsors and our wonderful, generous donors that are individuals in the community. It’s very important that we raise funds for the United Way so that we can give back to the community and invest in health, education and financial stability, which are the three pillars of the United Way.”
