UPDATE: MedFlight Called to Scene of Crash on Old River Road

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 2:13 p.m. on State Route 555 near Grandview Avenue.

A 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Jacob Baker of Philo, traveled left of center and struck a 2015 Dodge Ram 2500 driven by John Spargrove Sr. of Zanesville. The Ram 2500 was pulling a trailer with lawn-care equipment at the time of the crash and drove into a ditch as a result of the crash.

Spargrove and his passenger, Joshua Hunter, were transported to Genesis Hospital with injuries sustained from the crash. Baker was transported by MedFlight to the Ohio State University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Zanesville Post.
