UPDATE: Reported Realtor Attack Investigated

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate an assault at 1250 Pinkerton Road.

At around 11:30am on November 28th, a real estate agent reported she was attacked while leaving the residence.

Muskingum County Sheriff Mat Lutz stated, "We received a report of a Realtor that was leaving this residence, this residence was vacant. The victim was doing an inspection there and she filed a report that somebody came up from behind her pushed her inside and assaulted her."

Detectives are continuing to follow up on leads and are awaiting lab results from evidence that was collected from the investigation.

"I hope that everybody understands that this is a pretty sensitive case and that’s why we didn’t do a lot of it at the start because we were trying not to take corners on what was there," said Lutz.
