Van Fossen in the hunt at state golf tournament

UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio – John Glenn golfer Dylan Van Fossen shot a two-over 74 at day one of the Division II state golf tournament at Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course, trailing the co-leaders by just one stroke.

The Muskie senior turned in an eagle on the 14th hole and added six birdies to his scorecard. Bexley’s Trevor Binau and Ty DeBonis of Archbishop McNicholas are tied for the lead after both shot one-over 73.

New Lexington’s Kolten Foraker shot a seven-over 79 to tie for 12th. The Panthers shot a team score of 344 and currently sit in 11th place.
