Veterans Parade Saturday
ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The annual Veterans Parade will be Saturday morning.
This is the 17th year the parade has been put on by the Muskingum County Veterans Council.
President of Muskingum County Veterans Council, Jeffory Dittmar encouraged the community to attend.
“It’s very important to not forget the people that came before us and did what they did to make this country free,” said Dittmar.
The parade is titled “Gold Star Mothers Are The Best,” to recognize those mothers who lost their children to the war.
“It’s especially giving honor to the ones that lost their sons and daughters doing this,” said Dittmar.
The parade will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday morning on Shinnick Street. It will go up 6th Street, down Main Street and end on Third Street.
