Voluntary Evacuation for Buckeye Lake Estates

The Licking County Emergency Management Agency Friday issued a Voluntary Evacuation Order for Buckeye Lake Estates. The E-M-A says the Mobile Home Park in Buckeye Lake is currently experiencing rising flood waters. Officials say flood water could continue to rise through the afternoon and evening hours and is expected to recede overnight. The Licking County E-M-A in conjunction with the Licking County Sheriff’s Office are encouraging Buckeye Lake Estates residents to evacuate. The two agencies do not have indication on when residents may safely return home. Buckeye Lake Estates has more than 150 lots. Residents are welcome to evacuate to the Red Cross Shelter at Hebron Nazarene Church at 115 West Cumberland Road which remains open from Thursday’s flood evacuations.
