Want Some Extra Bucks?

It’s time to go through your closets, attics and basements because this week you have a chance to earn some cash.

The Ohio Valley Gold and Silver Refinery is in town, and they want to see what kind of treasures you have to offer. You have a chance to be paid on the spot for items you decide to sell. Field Manager Ryan Harris says you might be shocked by some of the things people bring in.

"We had a 1800’s vampire kit come in. It came into Warren, Ohio into a show we did last year. It was authenticated and turned out to be from an 1800’s Catholic church," said Harris.

Harris says quite a bit of silver has come in so far this week. A 100 ounce silver bar and an eight place sterling silverware set are just a few of the items that came in from Zanesville. He also adds there are always hot items they are looking for. 

"Gold and silver. Gold and silver are at an all time high right now. Those are the big items that you can really cash in on," said Harris.

The Ohio Valley Refinery and Road show is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Holiday Inn Express in Zanesville.
