WHIZ and FOX5’s America 250 Line-up

America 250 Promo

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – In honor of America 250, WHIZ has created a series of TV specials that will air on July 3-5 in place of our usual newscasts.

The first special is called “250 Years of Conservation: From Frontier to Future.” The story of conservation is woven into our nation’s 250-year history. We take a look at the history of conservation at the national and state level, as well as in our own backyard. This special will air on 6 p.m and 11 p.m. on July 3 and at 11 p.m. on July 5 on WHIZ.

The next special is called “Honor in the Skies.” Come along as our cameras follow three local veterans on a special trip to Washington D.C. This special will air on July 3 at noon and 5 p.m. and on July 4 at 11 p.m. on WHIZ.

The final special is the first in a new series called “Museums of Muskingum.” This series, as the name implies, takes viewers on a tour through various museums in Muskingum County, Ohio. The first episode is at the John and Annie Glenn Museum and will air on July 3 at 6 a.m. on WHIZ and at 7 a.m. on FOX 5.

These specials will also be made available online at a later date. We hope you enjoy these shows that we have prepared to honor our country’s 250th birthday!
