William “Billy” E. Wood Jr. (August 1, 1960 – January 28, 2015)

William “Billy” E. Wood Jr., 54 of Chandlersville died in his loving wife’s arms & with his son at his side at 10:20 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home following a 18 month courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on August 1, 1960 in Zanesville, OH and attended South Zanesville United Methodist Church. Billy was employed with Oxford Oil Company for 33 years and then with the Eclipse Recourses Oil & Gas Company. He loved fishing with his son, sitting on the deck watching the horses run and was an avid Buckeyes & Bengals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Michele R. (Dunn) Wood who he has been with for 35 years, a son Austin William Wood, his mother Donna (Petrey) Kirby, his father and step-mother William E. Wood Sr. & Georgia Wood; siblings, Teresa Wood, Brock Wood & Tom Cox; a special Uncle, Gary Sebach & a special Aunt, Sandy Gardner. Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim Wood Sr., Henry Sebach and Dorothy Sebach.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 pm on Monday, February 2, 2015 and funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. with Rev. Joy French officiating. Burial will conclude at the Rosehill Cemetery, Roseville, OH.
