William Richard “Dick” Heskett

William Richard “Dick” Heskett, 87 of  Zanesville died at 5:30 AM Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a short illness.

He was born October 31, 1930 in Guernsey County the son of Othell Dwight “Jack” Heskett and  Gladys Louise (Henderson) Heskett.

Dick graduated from Muskingum College, was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and was employed with Goss Supply until he retired in 1992 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed watching ball games & gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He  is survived by his wife of 59 years, Glenna L. (Wharton) Heskett; two sons, Ray (Eva) Heskett of Zanesville and Roy (Linda) Heskett of Norwich; his grandchildren, Kelly R. (Drew Craig) Heskett, Andrew C. Heskett, Kayla N. (Kyle) Runyon, Emily (John) Wolfe, John (Vaughn Cobb) Heskett; great granddaughters; Madison Heskett, Gracie Wolfe and Anna Wolfe; and a sister, Patty Milner.   In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a sister Norma Chester.

Friends may call Thursday, December 14th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral service and burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care.
